Ok..I have a zune and am going to buy a new 13' macbook pro. I'm gonna do the 'get a free ipod' promotion apple has right now but I was just wondering if my zune will work on the macbook? Has anyone out there gotten it to work??

they actually didnt make the zune software for the mac, but you can still plug ur zune into the mac for charging. you can also make your zune be seen as a removable device storage by following these directions: http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstat...

Yes, you can use an extra tool to solve this problem. I had used one called 4Videosoft iPod Manager. It can import computer file or folder to iPod directly without itune. If you think it is useful to you, free download it to have a try.

if the files are in mp3 format, you can just download them. Or you could burn CD's so you technically won't have to purchased the songs again.
Nah, nothing will happen. The Zune will just loose the connection to your computer and when it boots up again it'll be like you plugged it back in. It'll just realize it's hooked up to a computer again and probably open your syncing program. But it's fine. Nothing will happen.

Zune 30s have a hard drive. It sounds as though your hard drive is going out on it. If it is still under warranty then send it back to Microsoft.
I suggest you do a search for various converters and do a try before you buy. Many of them allow you to try them first. You will probably have a water mark on it but you will at least get to see how easy the programs are to use and the quality of video.

you dont need to reinstall the software if you already have it on your computer. You just need the software to reconize that you have a zune plugged in then just sync all your music to it. I use my sisters software all the time even though i have the software on my computer too.

I have gotten new zunes and sync more than 6500 songs 2000 pics and 300 vids. I have done this 4 times. There is something wrong with your software. if possible unzoone it but careful people say it not work but if you have a lot of songs than you should give it a try.
